Analysis 0f the Merdeka Curriculum policy regarding the prohibition of grade retention at the elementary school in Cilandak Lor village, Anjatan district, Indramayu regency
Abstract
Repeating a grade is known to have negative long-term effects on a child's life. The policy and actions regarding whether to promote or not promote students to the next grade are like a double-edged sword for both the Principal and the Teachers. On one hand, the decision not to promote students can lead to school dropouts. On the other hand, promoting students who are not yet capable of learning at the next level will burden teachers in guiding these students in the subsequent grade. The research method that uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The population in this study consists of 21 educators. The data collection for the analysis of the Merdeka Curriculum policy uses questionnaires and documentation instruments. The problems he sought answers through this study were: 1. How is the implementation of the independent curriculum policy regarding the prohibition of grade retention at the elementary school level in Cilandak Lor Village, Anjatan District, Indramayu Regency? 2. What are the pros and cons of the independent curriculum policy regarding the prohibition of grade retention at the elementary school level in Cilandak Lor Village, Anjatan District, Indramayu Regency? 3. How is the analysis of the Merdeka Curriculum policy regarding the prohibition of grade retention at the elementary school level in Cilandak Lor Village, Anjatan District, Indramayu Regency?
