Abstract

This study aims to: (1) prove that the Outdoor Learning method can influence students' science learning outcomes, and (2) determine the application of the outdoor learning method to the topic of plant reproductive systems, specifically angiosperms. The research involved grade IX B students at Miftahul 'Ulum Terisi Plus Boarding School Junior High School in the 2024/2025 academic year. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research instruments consisted of a learning outcome test and an observation sheet on the implementation of the outdoor learning method. Data were analyzed through normality tests, paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain analysis. The findings revealed that the use of outdoor learning methods had a positive effect on student learning outcomes with an average N-Gain score of 0.62, categorized as moderate. The paired sample t-test results showed a significance value of 0.000, which was less than 0.05, indicating that outdoor learning significantly improved students’ learning outcomes. The implementation process also ran effectively, highlighting the importance of contextual and engaging learning activities in science education.
